If you have all the required materials, you'll be able to affix the Enchantment to your item. Once you've chosen the item you want to Enchant, select the Enchantment recipe you want to use. Note: you'll want to avoid Enchanting Lifebound items because they disappear upon death. If you have something you want to Enchant, first make sure it has an open slot. Rare items will yield Rare essence, and so on. To break down an item at the altar, simply mouse over and right click it, or use the Y button if you're playing with an Xbox controller. When an item is broken down, the essence becomes available to use in Enchantment. Recipes are unlocked account wide, so all your characters will have access to any you have learned. Torchlight 3 legendaries update#
